Anthony Barbaria currently resides near Sacramento, CA, but is originally from San Jose, California. He has an AA degree in Art New Media from American River College.


As a Graphic designer he created a variety of designs, from event advertisements for both print and web use to vector based logos. 

As an Illustrator he developed his style over many years. He has contributed illustrations to the 2018 and 2019 American River Review. (2018 - 2019)

His "Octopi and..." series contains a variety of octopuses with musical instruments and other items.

He has both created and drawn traditional and vector based illustrations for event advertisements for the various organizations he has worked with.

Anthony provided illustrations for various music groups and albums, including Folsom based group, Eazy Dub.

As an Artist An interest in the metaphysical has spawned many pieces based upon UFO's and extraterrestrials. Strange and whimsical art may find it's way out of his creative intellect, while still tending to hold the UFO phenomenon in a more serious light.

A common hobby for Anthony is drawing at open mic events. He has developed his current style from drawing portraits of the performers and illustrations inspired by their songs.

As Art director of the 2019 American River Review, award winning, student produced, art and literature magazine, he designed the layout and theme of the publication. He oversaw a team of designers and worked with a production team and commercial printer to compile and produce the final publication (2018 - 2019)

As a member of the Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association at American River College, he has co-created ads for school club day events, marketing and language courses, as well as the logo for the collegiate chapter using both the American River College and American Marketing Association style guides. He also designed the school Business club logo. (2018 - current) 


As Art and Marketing Director for H.Art Lounge in Placerville, CA. He scouted, curated, and installed art for the gallery and organized many of the Second Saturday Art walk and Drink and Draw events at the gallery. He also assisted in sparking a reinvigoration of the Art Walks in Placerville which resulted in meetings with the Placerville art League and more communication between local galleries. Anthony created many of the event advertisements and online listings for H.Art lounge. (2014 - 2018)

As a Co-organizer at On The Corner Music in Campbell, California, he scouted, curated and installed Art for various shows throughout the year. He also created fliers for marketing campaigns through both digital and physical mediums.

As a member of the San Jose Art Salon, he co-organized multiple art shows, including BLINK in the KLOK radio station lobby, aka Gallery 2905, and the Little Italy Art Walk. He participated in the installation of BLINK and other art events presented by the salon. He also participated in weekly meetings and art discussions hosted by the salon. 

As part of the Scary-Art Collective, he participated in multiple shows and helped install a Halloween show at Body Tribe Fitness in Sacramento, CA. Nicolas Caesar and Anthony co-presented an  Art Show at Mantiques in Fremont, CA, shared spaces at the Campbell Art Walk, SubZERO festival in San Jose and more.
